If the
speedometer and rev counter on your MV Agusta F4 750 stopped working after installing a new battery, but the
indicator lights and high-beam light on the dashboard still work, it usually means the dash has power but
is not receiving the signal or proper initialization. Here are the most common causes and checks:
1?? Loose or Incorrect Dashboard Connector
When the battery is changed, sometimes a connector can move slightly.
- Remove the dashboard again.
- Check the main wiring connector at the back of the dash.
- Make sure it is fully seated and clean (no corrosion).
2?? Speed Sensor Issue
The
speed sensor on the front wheel sends speed data to the dashboard.
- Check the sensor near the front brake disc or wheel.
- Make sure the wire is not damaged or unplugged.
If the sensor fails, the speedometer will not work.
3?? ECU / Dash Reset Needed
