Hi Wayne, what you do is turn the key to the "on" position and back to "off". Do this three times. The engine light will flash. It will flash a certain amount of times, pause, then another set of flashes. The first set of flashes is the first number of your code. The second set is the second number. For example, you see 5 flashes, your first number of your code is 5, and so on.

FIRST thing to check is spark plug ,make sure it is sparking ,if it is and is wet change the plug .If plug is dry it could be the carb needs cleaning out if it has beesn stood for a while

Reply with the correct model number. "Pro 155" designates a series. We need to know whether you have a heater with a spark plug or a heater with an ignitor (glowbar).

I have several saws, among them a big Stihl and Husky, and a 46cc Poulan that I bought in 1994 that I have run through thee bars and a bunch of sprockets and chains. I use it today to buck my fire wood lengths. First, clean the carb out with a good spray carb cleaner. This will ruin your plug. Make sure your cleaner is okay. You really ought to replace all the plastic gas lines fron the carb and back and to the bulb. Make note of what goes where when you take them off.

When you get them, put the on, and some fresh oil/gas mixture. Pump that primer til you smell good gas, not the shellac smell of ruined gas.

If it starts, spray a little starter fluid in it and have your small screwdrivers on hand. Hold the throttle wide open, and ad just the hi speed screw til you hear it smooth out. Start by turning it to the right. If it doesn't smooth out or gets worse, start quarter turns to the left. Eventually you will get it to where it will winf to the max rpms.

Then, you have to work on the lo speed. I'd start by closing it and counting the turns. Try starting it bit by bit using 1/2 turns. Eventually you will get to a point where it starts easily at lo speed, and you'll find you may need to make a final adjustment on the hi speed. Mark down for the future how many turns each is.

Then go buy that guy's store and saw his door frame in half!

You said the fuel filter was pretty clogged up. It's sounds like a bad case of EGS(ethanol gas syndrome). The ethanol;being a corn deritive;acts like corn liquor(which is what is is), and turns the fuel to goop, and adds large amounts of water through out all the systems.<p>
It clogs up the fuel lines,the injectors, and ruins fuel pumps. It also puts heavy carbon on egr valves, int. and exh. valves, and can ruin oxy sensors, and catalytic converters.<p>
Let's try the cheapest way first:Buy a can of SEAFOAM and Berkline 2+2 at your parts store. Take out the oxy sensor(s) and clean the ends using the 2+2 and re-install.
Then change out the fuel filter again. Pour the SF into a tank of PREMIUM(only) gas. Change the pcv valve. Then start vehicle and let idle for 3-5 min(even if you have to rev it up to do it to get the SF flowing through the system), and then drive it 10 hard miles.<p>
Replace that fuel filter, and then let it idle some more. Your car sounds like it is really messed up bad. Unless you take it to a garage that has a fuel system cleaner machine, this is the best way to do it.<p>
After this, add SF every 3-5000 miles to your tank. It will prevent this from happening again. Also; to be on the safe side. Have a PSI check on your fuel pump. This goop could have burnt it up. I hope this helps.
