Building a wooden floor
If by “building a wooden floor “you mean putting down hardwood flooring, my biggest advice is to invest in a $50 laser measure from Lowe’s home improvement. There are just too many mistakes that you can make with a tape.
Also look up on the web about making a spline, in order to reverse the direction of the tongue & groove of the flooring. I cost myself a lot of time and money not knowing about those.

Garage door won't go down.
Most sensors have small lights. One side (the emitter) usually shows a steady amber light, and the other (the receiver) shows a green light when they're working. If the green light is off or blinking, there's likely an issue. If it's not try Clean and Inspect the Sensors,Test the Door Without Sensors,Block the Beam,Check Other Causes. If none of this works, it's probably time to replace the sensors.
