Got a toshiba laptop (model #satelite L305D) at an auction. has no os installed. tried to install xp and Ubuntu . gets to a certian point and just stops. how do i install any os on it? i think it could be a nice comp with an os.
any help appreciated

First things first.. if it's always freezing than it has some kind of internal damage. it could be as easy as replacing the hard drive or cd-rom, or maybe the disc your using is bad.
