Many Bostitch nailers use the tva6 trigger valve or similar. There are two ways to remove the valve. Both methods require the removal of the trigger first. Use a 3mm roll pin driver tool to remove the pin holding the trigger (some nailers have a 3m bolt w/nut or pin with rubber retainer) to expose the tva6 valve. Remove two 3mm roll pins in the body holding the tva6 valve noting the length of the roll pins. Remove the head and push out the valve, or, using heavy glove catch the valve as you connect air supply. Use caution if you choose to catch the valve because it could come out with force (use lower pressure than you would normally use when nailing). When the valve pops out, note the position of the valve in relation to the roll pins (notch on valve where roll pins catch). When you insert the new valve align the valve with notches in the proper position and use the 3mm driver tool to align and hold valve for test. Before you insert the new valve make sure that there are no sharp edges or grit in the port. Good luck with your repair.

Yes your nailer will drive other sizes of nails. For info and parts go to www.bostitch.com and look for the support tab then select service parts. Here you will find parts list and manual. To remove the tva11 trigger valve remove the retainer pin (the pin is 3mm) for the trigger and remove trigger. Next remove roll pin/pins that retain trigger valve. Use heavy glove to catch trigger valve as you apply air pressure to gun. The valve could pop out with great force so try lowering the pressure to gun. Before installing the new valve, check the opening for sharp edges which will cut orings. Good Luck and email if you have more questions.

Change the trigger valve, price is about $17 from Bostitch. Use www.bostitch.com and look up parts. Tigger valve is tva6. This should solve your problem.

Make sure that when you run with one gun that your psi is between 90-110. You may need a kit. Is it an RN45 or 46? Go to Stanley Bostitch online and look up parts and schematics. Kits should only be about 15-20 dollars, easy to put in, and come with instructions. Lemme know. Please rate me

Normally, yes- depends on how old the nailer is. But first, let's ask: are you getting at least 90 psi of pressure to the rig?
If so, you may adjust the nailer with an allen wrench, or with a thumbwheel, both of which are located near the firing mechanism.
IMPORTANT: before you mess with it, be sure no pressure is left in the unit, otherwise you may be on here asking how to extract a framing nail from your skull while your hand is attached!
