Drivers don't know how to upgrade driver for my notebook from the compal website

Here's a link to Compaq's support site for drivers. You will need to check the box for software and driver downloads and enter your model, the next page will ask you for your operating system, then it will give you a list of drivers for your machine. Keep in mind that there may or may not be updates, patches, or upgraded drivers. Go over the list and cross reference the version and date of the drivers at Compaq to the version and date of the drivers on your machine in the device manager. If the version number is higher or the date is newer then the driver is updated and you will need to download and run it. When downloading drivers, you always want to save them, then run them. A minor interference with the internet can screw up the install.
