You can try, without fear of having your laptop "blow-up".
Turn your laptop off.
Remove the battery.
Physically, does the RAM fit into the RAM slot? If not, the answer is 'no' -- most "desktop" RAM is much bigger than most "notebook" RAM.
If it fits, connect the AC power, and turn the computer on.
If it beeps wildly, or does not beep at all, the RAM is incompatible.
Disconnect the AC power.
Remove the RAM.
Re-insert the "old" RAM.
Re-insert the battery.
Reconnect the AC power.
Do a Google-search for "RAM upgrade Satellite A15" to find sellers that sell compatible RAM.
S129 "A"? Found nothing on Tohiba web site, but this must be S129 or S1291. Go to: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp and choose your model (there is a label on the bottom with the correct model number, right?). When you choose "Show results" you will end up in a page where you can get drivers and manuals. Good luck
