Melting fans I am the tech. that works on our W8-115 metabo grinders, lately I have been running into the problem of the fans being broken or melted. What is the cause of this?

SOURCE: Front heater fan control switch gets hot and melts. Why?

this is an easy one, the blower motor is drawing to much current, this happens as they wear out, replace the blower motor aNd all will be well in chevy land.

SOURCE: fan runs constantly, freezer ice melting, bottom drawer in refrig

  • If your refrigerator temperature is closer to 35 degrees, try turning the temperature up slightly.


  • If you find that the temperature varies a lot from the top shelf to the bottom (where it is coldest), try putting produce and other sensitive products on a higher shelf.


  • If the temperature is too low and you can't make it warmer by adjusting the thermostat, you probably have a defective thermostat. If so, you need to replace it, because they cannot be repaired. Other possible problems are a leak in the sealed (refrigerant) system, cold air migration (in side-by-side models) or a defective air damper. These problems can be quite difficult to locate and correct, we recommend you contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

    SOURCE: compressor on, coil frozen, no inside fan, ice melting.

    This is a defrost problem (heater,timer,limit switch)

    SOURCE: Drill and grinder only work upside down

    I know this may sound pretty trivial but, have you tride checking/changing the power cord. Many times there is an internal break in the cord making it feal like the tool will only work in weird or awkward positions.
