Voice Mail Setup

The manual says that you need to have voicemail service through your phone provider, the phone provider says that it is built into the phones, but that the "server" manual would provide the instructions for setting up the voicemail. I can't find any other manuals than the one that I referenced at the beginning of this post - so I am at a loss for how to set up this **** voicemail. Please help.

The provider would be your local phone company. If the phone has it built in that would be an answering machine. You may have got an inexperienced clerk. Call back and sign up for voicemail.

You did record a message on the answerer, didn't you? Mine displayed that until I recorded the outgoing message for the answerer. You do not need any service from your phone provider. The answerer in the base unit simply records the caller's message when you don't answer after a set number of rings. The manual tells you how to name the handset, which is a nice feature if you don't wish to use "unit 1, unit 2, etc".
