Ballast Lamp provide back light in DLP TV and if its bad / broken TV wont power up. If lamp is weak, dark or less bright picture will come in screen. Color wheel is responsible for colors in picture and if its broke, TV wont power up and common problem with color wheel is high pitch noise while it spins.
