Open the front door, to the upper left there is a small access remove the plate press the button with the machine on that will reset the c0500 code if it comes back do NOT reset the machine it is telling you that it need fixing continue to do that can destroy boards worse case start a fire. YOU are resetting the code for the Fusing Unit which fuse the toner to the paper. GETS very hot normally.

SOURCE: how to reset error c0500

The error code means that the fuser is not warming up correctly. There is a small black rest botton on the main controler PCB on the back of the copier. You are going to have to take the back cover off, I believe in is four screws. Turn the power off and remove the back cover and find the small black botton, once you have found it, turn the copier back ON and press the botton and see if the error code can be rest. If it dose you are good to go... If not you may have to replace the fuser unit..... I did have a problem that was not solved with the fuser unit.. It turned out to be right side door switch... I would look there as well with the back cover off... Good Luck

Minolta error code c0500

A C0500 code deals with the fuser temp. You maybe able to reset the code, by pressing the trouble rest switch. If it will not clear you will need to look deeper into the fuser unit. I don't know what model you have, so I can not go any further. Good Luck

Error code C0500

C500 is a fuser code, the hot part of the machine, the fuser fuses the toner to the paper, so that the toner does not smear off. But to solve this must have the model number. As each series of machine has a different way to reset machine
