you only can overclock the the k version and do you still use aircooling like most, sorry i have to sat it, people, first buy a good watercooling forbyour cpu memory, gpu and fets around the cpu. question which brand psu do you use? . i assume most psu are oems with grappy components and why make your processor and memory extra warm, look for the sheets of your gear and see how hast your gear degreades with increases temperatures.

Overclock can be done by setting fsb higher by percentage to speed up cpu frequency by percentage. But some cpu can not be overclocked and may overheat and shut down. And some drams can not be changed to higher fsb.

Hi there, your first going to need better cooling for your cpu like a aftermarket cooler and then go into the bios and raise the cpu multiplier and cpu voltage bit by bit

I have never used this mobo before have others had problems with overclocking? you could try updating the BIOS/Firmware this might solve the problem. You are correct in saying that AVGA will only overclock your GFX card the bast way to overclock is go up a few Mhz at a time and test it when you hit a point were the PC becomes unstable go back a few steps so your not running it on its limit

Overclocking a system leads most of the times to replacing the system. If you need a faster system, build one. If you overclock yours, you may end up building a new one anyway, and your system is still competitive, you don't want to trash it.
Nobody will take the risk to teach somebody how to overclock a system.

You need to check your BIOS. If you can overclock you will see a selection for CPU and speed in BIOS. If not there then your motherboard does not allow you to overclock your CPU.

I never overclock my processors... because I have fried a couple.

AND I don't really need any extra power/speed... because now I only surf the web and do some Word/Excel stuff and my duo core Intel chip is awesome for that.

So - first: I don't recommend it.

But - second: there are some good sources on the web about it...

Like I said I don't recommend it so I don't want to walk you through it, also when you do this you run a risk of frying your chip - and I don' want to be liable. Like I said above - there is some good infor on the web about it so you should not have any trouble finding out how if you don't know.

pls let me remind you that overclocking voids your pc's warranty.you will need to enhance the cooling solutions for the device you will overclock plus the cooling solutions for the CPU case, every time you overclock, more heat is produced by the device you are overclocking. also you have to make sure you have power headroom..., a higher wattage CPU power supply. plus the risk that you may toast your pc or lessen its usable life. overclocking is for advanced users so pls take extra caution if you will do it.. for guide and instructions pls click here and goodluck! >>> http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1804
