I have a Soyo MT NI DYLM 2086 and have bought a new computer. Do I need to download anything to insure that I get full screen / maximum clarity from the new computer?

The new computer will determine whether this is needed or not. If the computer is a 32 bit Operating System such as Vista 32-bit or Windows XP 32-bit then there is probably no need for any additional drivers. With some of the newer OS systems it may be needed, but there is little chance you should need to download monitor drivers for any system.

If you find that you are not getting complete clarity with higher resolution, in searching around for drivers for your monitor I have found it to be almost a dead end. I am seeing on the net that many people are finding it impossible to find newer drivers. So the alternate could be that you use some of the windows generic drivers to produce the resolution you are looking for and see if one of them works with your Soyo monitor.

I need drivers for my Soyo MONITOR, DYLM017B Model:VT17n71.. Windows 7 is tellin me its out of range

Hi there,

I've spent a bit of time researching this problem for you and have come up with the following, hope it helps.

SOYO has quoted "All SOYO monitors are Plug and Play monitors. They do not require drivers to work". Recently SOYO went bankrupt so their website is now unavailable for any form of support.

What i would recommend to you would be to temporarily connect a CRT monitor (one of those big bulky monitors) to your computer, as these have a larger resolution and refresh rate capability.
Once you can see Windows 7, change the display settings to the minimum settings for your monitor (as a safe bet i'd set them to 800x600, 60Hz until you connect the LCD). Then connect your flat panel monitor again and set the display settings to an optimal level for you.

Again, i very much doubt that you will need a driver for this brand of monitor, and will be hard pressed to find one.

All the best, and i wish you luck :)

When I try to use my 17'' Soyo monitor with Windows 7 program the screen turns black and then ''out of range'' wording is all I get on the monitor. I have tried booting in safe mode, set the resolution to...

When you power up the compute press F8 key then enter in :"Enable vga mode" then go to display property and set screen resolution to 1024*768.
Then check .
If still same then enter in safe mode and uninstall graphic driver then start computer normal mode then install graphic driver.
Also in safe mode go to start->run type in run "chkdsk /r" then press ok then press "y" then restart computer then it fix and recovers error on harddrive.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

I need a new driver for my soyo monitor

Your soyo monitor doesn't require a driver. Make sure you download and install the latest driver for your video card and during the install of that, your monitor should have its drivers installed as well. At that point you'll be able to use your monitor properly. There isn't any drivers available on the net that I could find. Only other option is if your monitor came with a cd, that might have drivers on it.

Anyone have a url for the drivers for winxp? for the soyo dylm1

I have this monitor and it does not need drivers.

If your graphics card supports it use the DVI connection as this gives a better display and the card will normally suggest your best resolution for you.

If you are using the VGA connection you may have to play around a little to find the best resolution that suits you.

If you get an OUT OF RANGE message you are trying to run the monitor at a resolution that it cannot handle and should drop it back down a little.

Normally 1280 x 1024 is pretty good for most people.

Hope this was of use.

your monitor doesnt have drivers for it.. and doesnt need drivers for that matter. It sounds like you dont have the right drivers installed for your graphics card. here is a link to the drivers you need.
