When i turn it on up in the left hand corner it just says password = i dont have a password i bought it used
I would recommend you go back to the seller and ask for it or your money back, because you will end up paying additional money. Go to www.ebay.com Type: bios password and list of sellers claiming to clear the password will be presented.

If it is Vista, insert the installation disc and go into restore. Make a system restore. In case of XP go into safe mode and do a system restore

Sounds like the BIOS password has been set to prevent unauthorized usage. If you don't know the password, you can't use the computer and it can't be reset except by Toshiba.
