Error code10 - Computers & Internet

  • powla00 Jan 05, 2009

Hi there, I have a Code 10 showing for the dvd player/burner... I have an Acer Aspire 5580-6974 and the device is called HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10N ATA Device...It doesn't seem to recognize anything I put in.. it sounds like it's going to read the cd/dvd and then it just stops and doesn't do anything. When I go into control panel, it says the device cannot start, and Check for Solutions doesn't do anything either... any help would be appreciated!

Acer computer error number 10 when loading software

what software were you trying to install?, as a code10 error refers to hardware not software, so if it's a driver you are trying to install, the peice of hardware it refers to may be faulty.
