SOURCE: Camera will not turn on

Remove the battery for about 30 minutes. This will reset the unit and if it is a software issue it should be OK. You can also try it on the AC adapter in case the battery connector is defective. If reset allows it to work on AC but not battery you have a problem with the DC input connector. If you are good with your hands, have jewelers screwdrivers, magnifying glasses, a steady hand and lots of patience as well as good soldering skills you can remove the cases and repair the input connector. If you are not confident about doing this you will need to seek the help of a reputable repair shop. Hopefully, removing the battery and resetting the unit will solve your problem. Good luck.

SOURCE: The batterys are charged, but nothing happens when I turn it on.

This camera and the model before it have a problem with inrush current opening a safety fuse on the DC-DC converter board. If this is the case, JVC will replace the SMD fuse with a modified part number, this should resolve the problem. Please be sure the camera is off before attempting to change the battery, this can also cause this problem. Good Luck. Joe Weibel customelectronics.org

SOURCE: my kodak c743 isnt working

PLEASE NOTE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH C743 IS THAT IT REQUIRES MORE POWER TO TURN THE CAMERA ON, IF YOU ARE USING THE KODAK ALKALINE BATTERY THAT COMES WITH YOUR CAMERA, PLEASE REPLACE YOUR BATTERY. TRY THE KODAK RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK(KAA2HR). THE KODAK RECHARGEABLE(KAA2HR) HAS MORE CURRENT CAPACITIES AND ARE MORE EFFECIENT. YOU CAN REFER TO YOUR USERS GUIDE ON THE APPENDIX SECTION FOR BATTERY INFORMATION. IF YOUR CAMERA IS STILL NOT TURNING ON, SEND IT TO A REPAIR CENTRE IF YOUR CAMERA IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.

SOURCE: the camera function will not work

Hey Uttado,
Check to see if the stanby lever that surrounds the record switch on the back of the camera has inadvertently been put on standby. If this has happened, the VCR will work but not the camera. Move it off of lock to standby and it should crank right up.

SOURCE: logitech pocket digital camera

Same happening to me. The solution is to try it in a different USB port, as it is a USB related issue.
