no need to remove the printer queue as it will select the next job automatically
so if you have set it printing something and the want to print another document , it will finish the first then start the second
the queue is need as it stops the printer printer printing any page from any where at any time so removing the queue will cause you lots of pain
I've had this problem several times, and the only solution is to restart your system. Once rebooted, the printer will continue printing your other documents
Yes, go to www.lexmark.com and click on DRIVERS AND DOWNLOADS. Then use the DRIVER FINDER. In SEARCH BY MODEL, type in X1185 and you can choose a Vista driver from there.
Step 1). Try cleaning the gold contacts on the print cartridge and on the printer itself with a pen eraser and a little alcohol.
Step 2). Uninstall the printer software and reinstall it.
Step 3). If the above two steps fail try a new cartridge. If none of these solutions work there is an electronic problem with the printer and it will have to be professionally diagnosed or replaced.
It sounds like there is still paper inside. Remove all paper in the tray and if all is clear. Reload the paper and push the paper feed button. If this doesn't work unplug the printer on let it reboot.
