My grill does not seem to be getting gas. I put a
Take the tank loose from the grill and open all the burners. Then close the burners and reconnect the tank.
SLOWLY open the tank just a little bit and light the burners with a stick lighter. That's what I do. Those new tans have a safety device in them that locks off the gas if the tank tilted even slightly or the gas valves are opened too fast.

If the propane tank is full, it could be the pressure regulator. Some regulators have an adjustment screw on the top.
If it's REALLY cold outside, the propane may not be evaporating fast enough to keep the pressure up. Also on a cold or windy day, heat is drawn away from the grill very quickly, and it may be difficult to keep the temperature up inside.

Have a VCS4000, electric start will not spark.
Since you have replaced the batteries, you now have to check the wires for shorts and the electrodes for a cracked/broken ceramic jacket. The gap may be to large between the electrode and the collector box or burner also.
