TV is just under 2 yrs old and will not power on,

It may be sensing shorted circuits so it goes into safety shutdown mode and trying to restart cycle.
It will require to do an in-depth troubleshooting starting at the power supply module first and then the backlights inverter board, the main board.

Want to put fb on my skyworth smart tv

I can help you get Facebook on your Skyworth smart TV. The approach depends on what your TV can do: Option 1: Built-in App Store (Easiest)

Press the Home button on your remote
Look for Google Play Store, App Store, or Skyworth App Store
Search for "Facebook" or "Facebook Watch"
Download and install

Note: Facebook doesn't make a full Facebook app for most smart TVs. You might only find Facebook Watch (video only) or nothing at all.
Option 2: Screen Mirroring / Casting (Most Likely)
If there's no Facebook app, mirror your phone to the TV:

I powered down my vs880 and right after I attempted to power it back on to no prevail. No lights or sounds from vs 880 wen attempting to power on.

It is quite an old machine, I would suspect the internal power supply has failed. Take it to an Authorised Rolland repair shop.

A model and make would be helpful but considering 90% of the sets we see with a dark screen but has sound is defective backlights, I'd pull the panel out and get at the strips and test them

Wish to remove stand from

Hello there,
To remove the stand from a panasonic tx-l32lmd70 television, you will be needing a Towel and a Phillips screwdriver, then you Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and lay the television, screen down, on a towel. The towel helps prevent damage to the screen.
Remove the four retaining screws that secure the stand from the bottom of the television using the Phillips screwdriver.
Slide the stand out of the television. Place the stand and the screws in a safe place in the event you change your mind and decide to set up the television on the stand again. The television is now ready for hanging on a wall.
That is how to remove the stand/base from the panasonic tx-l32lmd70.
