The Redfield Raider 550 rangefinder has been discontinued, and replacement parts like the battery cover are no longer sold directly by Redfield. Your best options are checking eBay for used parts, browsing Amazon for generic rangefinder battery covers, or contacting optics parts suppliers like Numrich Gun Parts

Two possibilities--

1. Place a want ad on www.astromart.com It will cost you $12 to join and put up the ad. There might be one in working order somewhere --- used.

2. Contact Ron Sampson on the Yahoo LX200 tech group-- join for free and post a message for him. Ron can repair any of the electronic boards from various telescope brands.

Sounds like you are out of focus. The primary mirror has to be moved closer to the secondary when looking at objects near infinity. Rotate the focuser's knob CCW (left) to push the primary up the tube. Do this slowly, as you can quickly pass through good focus.

Most likely, the laser has stopped working. The laser is what is used to measure distance. Why stopped? No idea. Might be poor quality device failed, or it got dropped, etc. Probably no way to repair. I had a similar device with failed laser. Looks like it working, but no yards.

Meade will not have parts, focusers are always replaced as an entire unit-- but if the mirror is still good you can buy a replacement focuser here:

I had a question I know absolutely nothing about binoculars I just had a pair that I inherited from my grandfather they're bausch & lamb legacy 7×35 EWA field 11°. They have all of the lens caps and they also have the the hard box carrying case with the shoulder harness on them with Bausch and lomb stitching. The binoculars have a similar one to wear around your neck, as well as the original orange square cleaning cloth. Now are are these something that I should leave as is or should I clean them up a little bit? Would that increase or decrease the value. Also I can't find a serial number anywhere on them Is there one and where would it be located?I greatly appreciate any knowledge shared as I have zero experience with binoculars. I would like the to go to a good home that will continue to get life out of them the seem to be in good shape I have them on eBay for 50 dollars.
