HAAN floor steamer won't heat up
It is likely the thermal fuse which is there to prevent an issue if the unit gets to hot. Once they blow, they have to be replaced. You have to take the unit apart, which is a moderate challenge. It it attached to what looks like ceramic where the heater is. On my unit, it was toward back under where the handle is. It is held on the wire with small clips. Once removed, look at the heat rating and it is cheap and easy to buy new ones on line. I purchased a pack of four for about $5.00. Just clip in a replacement and it should work.
it is easy to test the thermal fuse. Simply use a simple electronic meter and see if it has continuity. It should normally pass current, if it doesn't, then it is blown and needs to be replaced.
almost all small appliances that heat up have thermal protection fuses and it is often the cause of an appliance that does not heat up and longer. I fixed a coffee maker by replacing the thermal fuse as well.
