Follow the steps given below
Connect the External CDRW to the PC and you should be able to find the green light glowing and CDRW should make some noise like spinning.
Press the Eject button the CDRW and It should open. Put in the Software disk that you have received from your PC manufacturer and it should display the contents on the PC Screen
If not, Click on START button - Click on My Computer - You should find the CDRW displayed in Drives Location.
Double click on it and it should display the CD Contents.
This indicated the CDRW is working.

if your Windows XP CD is genuine then you just need to contact Microsoft support site. They will give you product key and if you want some other heck like Pirated XP CD key or crack etc. then In fixya we are not giving any such type of answer.

Don't know why you need portable CD unless your laptop doesn't have a CD-Rom Drive? Your laptop CD-ROM drive can play any music CD's you put in it via the Media Player software on your pc.
To remove virus from pen drive
Hi,
When you plug in your pen drive, don't open the pen drive.
You can see an secondary storage device icon in your 'My Computer'.
Right click the pen drive and scan for viruses.
If you really have virus then the virus, the antivirus agent will show you the virus.
You can kill/delete the virus.
You won't lose any of your data.
( OR)
I have one more option,
If you have linux(Linux Ubuntu, Suse Linux,...) installed in your system, you can login to Linux and
plug in your pen drive, you can delete the virus directly, by opening the pen drive.
Here also you won't lose any of your data.

The easiest thing to do is to update the firmware on the drive. If that doesn't work, check to see if the drive is getting adequate power, which can be caused by new hardware being installed that is taking up more power than the power box can give.
Clean the plugs and ribbon leading to the computer with a quick burst of compressed air.
If that still doesn't work, the laser may be mis-alligned, or borken, and is much easier to replace the whole drive. (CD-RW burners are insane cheap with DVD-RW burner drives being out for a long time, and Blu-Ray burners just around the corner)

I want to open showmax on my tv using wifi ethernet
