I have a 2000 Cuisinart and it quit working. The On switch it not working. What do I need to do. Or is there another one like it? I love this unit.

There are lots of models Debra, take your pick. Amazon often have new, but discontinued models. The failing On/Off switches are a known issue, and they are part of the motherboard and not replaceable. https://www.google.com/search?q=cuisinart+coffee+maker ..

My Cuisinart Grinder is not working, I cleaned out the snout and it is still not working. What is the problem?

Old Question! Roasted coffee is very oily and very sticky, so eventually everything gets gummed up especially if you are using very find grinds. It needs a full strip down, cleaning and lubrication with food safe mineral oil. Take to a Cuisinart service centre.

Cuisinart DGB-600 BCA alarm.

If your Cuisinart DGB-600 (or similar Grind & Brew) is beeping or showing an error alarm, it is likely alerting you to an open door, a misaligned part, or the need for maintenance. [1, 2, 3] Common Causes & Fixes
  • Check the Filter Basket Door: The machine will beep persistently if the filter basket door is ajar. Firmly close the door to engage the safety switch. [1, 2]
  • The "EMPTY" Indicator: If you forgot to empty the coffee grounds after your last brew, the word "EMPTY" may appear on the screen, and the machine will refuse to operate. Open the door, dump the old grounds and filter, and close it again. [1]
  • Check the Hopper and Basket: Make sure the bean hopper lid and the brew basket are seated properly. If sensors do not detect these pieces correctly, the unit will not start. [1, 2]
  • Mineral Buildup (CLEAN Light): If the alarm is accompanied by a flashing "CLEAN" light, your machine has accumulated calcium. Run a descaling cycle using a mixture of \(\frac{1}{3}\) white vinegar and \(\frac{2}{3}\) water. [1]
  • Hard Reset: If no parts are visibly out of place, unplug the machine from the wall for 5 to 10 minutes to reset the internal control board. [1]
  • If you need to view the original documentation for the machine or want to find parts:

The plug in the back disappeared and water pours out of the hole. Can't find replacement.

There is no plug missing. That hole is an overflow so you don't overfill. There is not a plug for it. Don't fill past the hole. The only time I leak from up there is when I am descaling due to overfilling.

Replace the motor shaft cover

I have a DLC7pro from around 1982 that I just replaced the sheath on.

To remove the sheath I use a small pipe cutter and took the sheath off in approximately ½ inch sections. Once the circular cut was complete I used a plier to pull off the section. - This method worked GREAT! Be sure you get ALL of the white plastic off and be sure to remove the ½ inch brass "ring" which is part of the old sheath. Also, make sure no plastic "crumbs" are in the base of the shaft where the new sheath will sit. You will see that the metal shaft has a flat side. With a sharpie marker, mark the metal shaft near the base to indicate where the center of the flat side is.

When you look at the replacement sheath, you will notice flat sides on the outside of the sheath. If you look inside the sheath, you will see two "nubs", these nubs form a flat inner side of the sheath . Unfortunately these nubs do NOT line up with the flat outside sections. Use a sharpie marker to mark the center point of the two inner nubs. The inner flat side HAS to match up perfectly with the flat side of the shaft. The marker helps you do that. Line the inner flat side of the sheath up with the flat side of the metal shaft and push the sheath on your hand as far as it will go. It should go about an inch from the base. Put the base on a mat on the floor ( you don't want to damage your floor) . Next you will need a hammer, piece of 2x4 wood and BRUTE STRENGHT! - Please note that once you hammer this, even just one strike and the sheath will NOT come off. Put the 2" side of the wood against the top of the sheath. Using more force than you think you should need - strike the wood to hammer the sheath all the way down. It should take 3 - 5 very hard strikes. If the base of the sheath rubs on the bottom of your workbowl - they will fuse together, so be sure the sheath is seated as far down as you can get it. Again, it takes a LOT

Cuisinart coffe maker does not allow water in

Common problem, it is hard water issue, these coffee makers do not handle even slightly hard water as deposits build up quickly blocking water flow to element. Try one of the many coffee pot cleaners, but if it is as bad as described, may not be enough to clean out coils. CERACOAT-NANOTECH.com

Cuisinart DLC-10S Food Processor. How do you get the large feed tube off of it please?

Old Question!! Make sure the bowl is firmly locked in place. Most need to have the handle on the RIGHT side.. Hold the handle unlock the top and chute clockwise. The Cuisinart DLC-10S food processor comes with a large feed tube integrated into the cover; the "large feed tube" is part of the cover, and you get it by simply attaching the cover to the bowl. To assemble it, place the cover on the work bowl and turn it counterclockwise until it clicks into place, ensuring the feed tube is positioned correctly to receive food. Assembly steps to get the large feed tube
  1. Position the work bowl: Place the work bowl on the base, turning it counterclockwise until it locks.
  2. Attach the cover: Put the cover on the work bowl, aligning it so the feed tube is positioned at about the 7 o'clock position.
  3. Lock the cover: Turn the cover counterclockwise until it clicks, which secures it to the bowl and activates the large feed tube.
  4. Insert the pusher: Slide the pusher assembly (which has a large and a small pusher) onto the feed tube, with the large pusher at the top. The large pusher has a central tube that can be used for smaller foods, while the larger opening is for whole slices.

Why do I get so many coffee grounds in my cuisinart on demand coffee maker?

Many times this is a result of the coffee grind. To overcome this with some brands, I use an additional filter, put the desired amount of coffee in it, and then fold the sides over to make an envelope. Place the folded sides down and brew coffee. If any of the coffee gets out, the second filter should catch it.
