My window type aircon compressor run for 5

I have the same problem w/my CW-XC122VU. Other symptom is that the thermostat setting does not work in this "poltergeist" mode. After the problem went away by itself, then re-occurred, I notice it tracks the level of the water in the pan. A full pan of water will trigger poltergeist-mode, so I suspect some control or sensor is being shorted. The posted solutions ("transformer hum" or "broken on/off switch" are off the mark and generally unhelpful). We are not alone, though...the problem is observed in many Panasonic and Quasar window A/C units.

How could i know whether my contractor is reliable or not ?

You first make sure your contractor has a few jobs under his belt.Ask their clients for a testimonial about them. Also make sure he completed his previous projects well. Now a days there are many Review websites which gives the info about the ratings of the home renovation contractors and home builders. You could check there too.

Ok, its a spark ignition with flame sensor built into pilot assembly, pilot will come on some times but when it doesn't it flashes a code of 4 flashes

A 4-flash code on a spark ignition system with a flame sensor in the pilot assembly usually means the control board is not proving pilot flame or there's an ignition/flame-sensing fault. The exact meaning depends on the brand and model, but since the pilot sometimes lights and sometimes doesn't, these are the most common causes: Dirty or weak flame sensor/pilot assembly Weak spark electrode or bad gap Poor ground connection Low gas pressure or partially clogged pilot orifice Cracked ignition wire or loose connection Failing ignition control module/board A few things you can check safely: Turn power off to the unit. Inspect the pilot assembly: Clean the flame sensor/electrode with fine emery cloth or steel wool. Make sure the spark gap isn't damaged or covered in soot. Check all wiring connections from the pilot assembly to the control board. Make sure the burner chassis has a solid ground. Watch the startup sequence: Do you hear sparking? Does pilot gas come out? Does the pilot flame light then shut off? If you can provide the brand and model number and exactly what appliance this is (furnace, water heater, boiler, etc.), I can tell you what the 4 flashes specifically mean and narrow it down further.

E9 error code for Carrier Xpower2 inverter what is that mean

On many Carrier XPower / XPower2 inverter air conditioners, an E9 code usually points to an inverter drive or communication/control problem involving the outdoor unit. Depending on the exact XPower2 model, it can mean: Inverter/IPM (Intelligent Power Module) protection fault Compressor drive problem Indoor ? outdoor communication error Drive model mismatch on multi-zone systems ? Pioneer Mini Split Help Center +2 Common causes: Low or unstable voltage Loose wiring between indoor and outdoor units Bad outdoor control board Compressor starting failure Overheating outdoor unit Faulty IPM module Water/moisture after drain blockage or rain Things you can try safely: Turn OFF the breaker completely for 10-15 minutes. Restore power and try again. Clean the indoor filters and make sure outdoor airflow is not blocked. Check if the outdoor fan starts. Listen for: clicking, compressor humming, or immediate shutdown. If the E9 returns immediately after startup, it usually needs electrical diagnosis of the outdoor inverter board/compressor circuit. ? Pioneer Mini Split Help Center +1 If you send: the full indoor or outdoor model number, whether it cools briefly before E9, and whether the outdoor fan/compressor starts, I can narrow down the exact XPower2 E9 meaning for your unit.

How do I replace the power cord on my Lasko 5624 space heater

Replacing the power cord on a Lasko 5624 (a low-profile silent room heater) involves opening the unit to access internal terminals. Because space heaters draw high current (typically 1500W), improper connections are a significant fire hazard. Required Tools & Materials Screwdriver: A Phillips #1 or #0 screwdriver is usually required. Replacement Cord: Use a heavy-duty 14/2 or 16/2 appliance cord rated for at least 15 Amps. Connectors: Lever-style Wago connectors or high-quality crimp sleeves are safer than standard wire nuts for high-heat applications. Step-by-Step Replacement Safety First: Ensure the heater is completely unplugged and cooled down. Open the Housing: Remove the screws from the back or bottom panel of the unit to expose the internal wiring. Note that some Lasko models use deep-set screws. Manage the Strain Relief: The power cord enters through a plastic "strain relief" bushing. You may need to squeeze this with pliers from the inside to push it out of the shell. Identify and Disconnect: Locate where the cord meets the heater's internal wires (typically red for live and blue for neutral). Carefully cut or unscrew the old connections. Install the New Cord: Thread the new cord through the strain relief hole. Strip the ends of the new wires. Match the polarity: Connect the "hot" wire (usually marked with ridges or text) and the "neutral" wire to their corresponding internal terminals. Crucial: Ensure connections are tight. Loose wires generate heat and cause fires. Secure and Reassemble: Reinstall the strain relief (or use zip ties on the inside of the case to prevent the cord from being pulled out). Close the housing and test the unit on a low setting first. Warning: If the original cord failed due to overheating at the plug or base, it may indicate an internal fault or a bad wall outlet. If you are not comfortable with electrical repairs, consider consulting a professional or utilizing the Lasko Warranty if applicable. I would always suggest getting a licensed electrician to replace.

Vaillant combi boiler problem

when the tap is turned on and the water light on the boiler doesn't this means the diverter valve is not operating it could be down to low water pressure in the house this can be checked at the cold tap in the kitchen. if there is plenty of pressure then it could be the diagphram in the diverter valve is worn or split. the diagphram is only a few pounds but it depends on the engineer you get as to how much money he wants to fit it.
the egg timer symbol (or two pyramids together) is an ignition indicator turn off and on again to see if it will fire with the tap running. reset the boiler with the lower right hand control knob.

Ideal logic combi 30 boiler has 5 indicator lights flashing with, from left green green yellow red red. System seems ok but concerned with the two reds. Do I have a problem?

I had exactly the same problem as you describe with my Logic Combi 30 boiler. I phoned them, and they said it was simply to indicate that the wireless thermostat (that little white thing that came with the boiler and tells you the temperature etc.) wasn't picking up a signal from the boiler. It's NOT dangerous, and will almost certainly just be temporary; and even if it's not temporary, it's still NOT dangerous. So no need to worry -- it's not important!
