I have a Toshiba satellite l45-s7423. the DVD/re-writer reads only recovery cds but does not read any other cds. what could be the problem? Can you read the "other" CDs/DVDs in some other computer?

Format Toshiba Satellite l45 s7409 I have Toshiba Satellite l45 s7409 Laptop in which Vista was Installed. Now I want to format this and Install Xp. you need the Windows Xp CD in order to do that.
