If you can get the Buzz edit software there is an easy fix. Open the design in buzz edit. Under the view tab, show hoop properties and select xl6000 hoop. Then again under the edit tab select all. next under the buzztools tab rotate the design 90 degrees. This usually takes care of the problem, don't forget to save as copy. If it is still too large, shrink the design until you see it fit into the hoop on the screen. Don't shrink it more than 10percent or your stitches will be too cramped. Hope this helps.
