How do I replace my defrost timmer in my Hotpoint CSXGR part#WR9X489. Thank You Kevin H.

Hello Kevin,

Usually the defrost timer fit into the control panel housing where the thermostat is (upper back wall of fresh food section) remove covering by removing t-stat knob and 1/4" headed screw of left side of cover.pull off cover. Timer is to the right of t-stat,by removing screw that holds timer and pulling out tabs on the metal housing there is whole lot easier that removing that housing
