See solution below:
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press 'select' and turn on the printer. (select button should be pressed while turning it on)
3. press '-value+' to choose your language
4. press 'select' to save
5. press 'go' to return to ready mode.

It worked with the 2600n Color LaserJet by having the printer on first (shows the foreign language), then hold down the green button and turn it off and then on again while still holding the button.
Doing this will back to English

Press Menu, go forward (right arrow) to the 4th option (Maintenance), hit enter, hit left arrow once, and enter. This is the language setting. Select language, press start, select country, press start.

Press SETUP until you see 4. PREFERENCES. (Spanish-Preferencias) Press OK.
Press RIGHT ARROW until you see SET LANGUAGE & COUNTRY/REGION. (Spanish-Idioma & Pais) Press OK.
Press LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW until you see ENGLISH. (Spanish-Inglés) Press OK.
When Prompted, press OK.
Press RIGHT ARROW to select the country. Press OK.
When prompted press RIGHT ARROW to select Yes or No. Press OK.

Ive just managed to solve this prob,1) pull the power cord out of the back of the printer. 2) put 1 finger on the colour copy button and another on the cancel button, 3) put cord back into printer while still holding down the buttons and it will take u back to the welcome page and u can reset the language. xx yvo x
