We had been in our RV for many hours running the air conditioner and then we strated to smell something for about an hour and then LP Arlarm strart going off. It did not smell of LP. When we got out side I could smell the exhaust of the battery. Would the battery cause the arlarm to trip. Thank You, Bill Ford

Yes, those detectors will trip on many gases, and if your battery or Batteries are boiling that bad, you should have them and charging circuit (converter etc.) checked.

SOURCE: alarm goes off on own

ok this could be a easy fix i had the same problem in my 02 eddie bower explorer there is 2 switches in each door one tells the computer the door is open the other tells the computer to turn on the interior light so if you notice the door ajar light come on or your interior lights stay on for a prolonged period of time then this is for sure your problem this can also be your problem if the switches are just starting to go bad they will randomly pop in and out trust me this is what happened to me the switches are unfortunatly located inside the door now (i miss the door pin switch's) but they are still easy and very inexpensive to replace check your local auto parts store for the do not go to ford as they will charge you an arm and a leg :) good luck my friend
