Go into the address bar and type the URL for the site you would like to call your "Home Page". For example, in the address bar type the following:
http://www.yahoo.com
Next, press ENTER and see if it goes to that page. If so, then on the Firefox menu bar, click Tools, General, Use Current Page(s). This should set your home page.
To test it out, now close Firefox, wait about 5 seconds, and start Firefox again. It should land on Yahoo! (assuming that is what you selected for your home page).
If you're not getting any results at all, i.e., you can't access the Internet at all using Firefox, then see if you can access the Internet using Microsoft's Internet Explorer. If that works, then I would suggest completely uninstalling Firefox via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Then, go to the following URL:
http://www.firefox.com
Download the latest, greatest version of Firefox. Install it, start it up for the first time, and allow it to become your default browser. From there onwards, you should do fine. Personally, I love Firefox and will not use anything else.
Please let me know if this works for you!
Thanks ~Jim :-)
