The display of my SHARP PWE550 digital dictionary has several vertical lines on the screen where the text is missing.

Mine also has vertical lines in sharp and this the 2nd time I buy this device because of this problem. It seems that the problem is from the joint data cable where we keep open and close the cover.

I don't recommend you buy another one because i threw 2 of them because of this problem - although sharp dictionary is the best among others concerning the definitions.
