- Try powering off your unit for at least five minutes, to allow anything that is in volitile memory to drain out.
- Once that is done, open and remove the battery from the unit, and then remove the sim card as well.
- Leave both sim card and battery out of the unit again for five full minutes.
- Once this is done, reverse the process and put the sim card in carefully, making sure it goes in, in the correct direction, followed by the battery.
- Close the compartment but DO NOT POWER IT ON.
- Plug the power cord into the unit and give it a good six to 12 hours to charge the unit completely.
- Once you have charged it, then try powering it on to see whether you can get it to work.
- So long as what you have was legally obtained, complete with the warranty, if this does not solve the problem, you have two methods to follow next: call the 800 toll-free phone number - from a different phone or land line - for either the cellular manuracturer or the cell phone service provider.
- Give them all the information you can, even if it means you must open the battery compartment again, because most of the units' identifying characters are hard-coded on a little placque under both battery and sim card, so they cannot get lost.
- Give that information to your provider, either cell phone provider or cell phone manufacturer and, again, so long as all this information is legitimate, they will be able to, and happy to assist you.
- If there is a possibility that your warranty has expired, they may ask for a credit card or other method - PayPal, for instance - to pay to extend the warranty.
But most important is that you have a legitimate, honestly purchased and paid-for unit. So long as these criterea are true, then they will most certainly help you get your unit to work again, even if it means that they will have to ship you a new unit. And if it comes to that, convince them to ship it overnight, with a return label so you can ship the faulty unit back to them in the fastest way.
I sure hope this helps you.
Cheers!
-a.

Try a different sim card, or the sim card reader may be broken
