i wired a set of mission 700 speakers to a tecnics hifi and now it wont come off stand by what could be wrong.

The way you say "a" Technics hifi implies the SCEH790 might not be the model.

Whenever you DO something and a malfunction appears, UNDO it to get back to square one.

UNwire the speakers and see how that works out. OR you shorted the speaker wires.
