Phone is working however it does not ring when being diverted to. Is there a mute button or something that we have accidentally activated? Was working earlier today and was in the person's pocket for the day and now will not take calls. Can you advise.

Is there an 'M' on the display? If so, that means it is in 'meeting mode.' All you have to do is press and hold the star key (*) and that will take care of it.

I had the exact same problem and tried everything. It wasn't until I unplugged and main base from the electrical outlet for a few minutes and plugged it back in -- for some reason that made everything work. It is worth a try. We had some minor electrical outages in the last week due to weather so I assume that screwed something up.

Mute is not a feature of the phone system, but on the phone itself.

Pressing * 6 will not do anything, it changes the ring tone on digital set.

You are out of luck unfortunately.

The button for handsfree is the same button for Mute.
So when you are on the handsfree call, press the handsfree button again and the call is muted on your side.

To talk again, press the handsfree button to un-mute the call, then press it again to mute your call.

To hang up press the orange RLS button.

sounds as if you will need your vendor to program your phone and others that need be to have Handsfree/mute capabilities.. i assume since you can not mute then you can not place your phone on Handsfree either.
