If it is a netgear router, look on the back of it. When you find the .net address, type it in your browser. When and if prompted for a password enter the factory defalt listed on the back of your router. From there it all becomes easy to follow. Good Luck

I am trying to put my brothers lap top on my wireless, I put in the pin but now it ask for the security password

The security password is the password for the router,If you have forgotton the security password there is a reset button in the back of the router Press and Hold for 10-15 seconds/Then give it 1 minute to reboot. However this will reset the router to default settings so if it is secure it will be unsecure/ Here is a link to show you how to secure the Belkin router. Hope this helps

Router password

>If you're trying to put password for the Router, then type "http://192.168.0.1" into the address bar, then hit "Enter."
>Use "Admin" as the username and leave the password blank when the login screen appears.
>Please click on Administrator settings and change the User Name and Password.

If you're trying to put a password/secure the Wireless network, then follow the steps:

>In the Router setup page, click on Wireless Settings.
>Under Wireless Security Mode, select Security Mode: WEP/WPA/WPA2.
>Enter the Security Key manually or enter the Phrase to generate the Security key automatically (only in WPA/WPA2) and save the settings.
>Please note the Security Key to connect to the Wireless Networ.
>The Wireless is secured now.

Good Luck!!!!

I don't know how to password secure my belkin

if you go into the menu from the belkin screen using your internet browser it should say what the address is, something like 192.2.222) then you can put a password on the signal that is coming out of the router. this makes the network secure to only those that know the password don't forget that password.

2. what is the exact model number of your router?
