My computer at work crashed and we had to wipe it out and reload windows and all programs and didn't really have any of them on disc. when i plugged in my HP Laserjet P2015dn after restoring computer it automatically downloaded drivers from web and installed itself as a P2015 PCL6 and i don't know if that matters or not and i have tried to manually get the drivers from HP and can't seem to over ride the automatic setup. any way the problem is that when i tried printing a jet black logo it only comes out gray. I thought maybe it was the ink cartridge coincidently needed changing, but turns out that didn't help. It says in manual to turn of econo mode but it doesn't seem to have that. i saw someone else on blog said same thing. a guy said maybe it needs a transfer roller. I think it's suspicious that this problem began after restoring the computer it's connected to and makes me think it's a setting. HP just says it's out of warranty. Please help!!!!!! Thanks so much! This is a network series printer. Go to the embedded webserver by typing the IP address of the printer into the address bar of your web browser. You can then see all the settings. Check to see what the toner density is set at. You can also download the HP Universal PCL5 driver which might work better for you.
