I have a DELL Optiplex GX520 and having problems booting up from the CD drive. When I place CD ROM in the drive, I think that pc still boots up from the hard drive first, can any one help so that I can make the pc boot up from the CD drive first?

Thanks Joey64. Have tried this, but when going via F2, I go to the set up, and have tried to change the boot set up so that the CD is the first thing to boot, but it's still not working. Have also tried to go via the F12 system set up, but still not working, Thanks anyway.

Sometimes for whatever reason a BIOS will jump over the CD even if it is the first boot device and there is a CD in the drive.
Two things.
Change all the boot devices to CD, that way it has no choice it has to boot from the CD or throw up an error.
Make sure your CD is bootable, even if you are using an original Windows CD, put it in another machine and make sure it boots, it may be damaged.
You need to go to the bios setting, upon switching on you need to press delete to enter to the bios setting (note: some motherboards uses either F1 or F2 or F10 defends on your MOBO) then go to boot set up, select the first boot device as the cd rom then save and exit (F10)
