I replace my Bruan 7680 battery. I place the order for battery from Amazon, cutter& foil from goodmans.net. The following is my procedure 1.Using a small flat screw driver to plier the plastic socket lock (Where the charging located ) 2.Disassemble left and right plastic holder 3.Disassemble plastic cover top and bottom 4.Take out the circuit board where the battery mounted on. Please be careful at this process you could ruin the circuit board while taking the old battery out(I used a soldering and a small wood stick just to take the extra flux away from contact to other on the circuit board). It is not as difficult as I thought. 5.During your install a new battery please make sure that the batter pole does not go the same way(Check direction of a battery before taking it out so you do not put in the wrong direction) 6.Putting them back together. Note #special tool required to take out the circuit board from a mounting? My the battery replacement came with the tool)
Hi.
The batteries are inside the shaver. You need to disassemble it if you want to replace the battery:

Unfortunately this is almost impossible. The batteries are part of the circuit board, and Braun only authorize their service agents to replace the whole unit, and my local agent found that it had been discontinued. If you still want to have a go, two screws are hidden beneath the two grey plastic caps either side of the charging socket on the underside of the shaver which can be prized off quite easily. Once you have removed the screws, the small plastic section comes off. Now you can slide the outer casing off. A thin black cover at the back can then be unclipped, revealing the circuit board and batteries. The whole unit simply lifts out and would be easy to replace if you could find one! Rplacing the batteries would be far more difficult and risky. Good luck.
Pry out the blue button. In the oval hole where the button was you will see a thin metallic part (semi-circular shapes on each side); pull it out through the hole and the switch will be functional.

If the "reset" described didn't work all that well, as a last resort you can replace the batteries. You have two choices: put in a battery/circuit-board part replacement (drop in), or solder in new batteries. If you've got some soldering experience, I recommend replacing just the batteries. You can buy new NiMH AA 1.2v flat top batteries rather cheaply (less than $4 per cell) and using a soldering iron, take out the old ones and secure the new ones. Look for batteries with at least a 1650mAh rating. Good luck!
