The easiest way to know if this device is installed two ways one there will be a small icon on the lower right bottom of the desktop tray it does vary as to the icon shape but if you scroll through them you will see your Scandisk mentioned there. This is also used for removing the disk do not just pull the disk out without closing it this way first. Also you can left click on My Computer this will bring you into a separate window which displays your hard drive C or other drives if you have them or devices that are installed on your computer it will be located in my computerr. You should see Scandisk there. If not then it did not pick it up most likely this will not be the case it should be there.
Now in order to send files and pull files just use it as another drive if the Scandisk drive is showing it as a letter E: then when you are going to save things to it you can either right click and send files to Scandisk E: or you can copy and past or move them to that drive by dragging files. Or when you get to a downloaded file and you want to save it to your Scandisk E: drive just look for the Scandisk and its assigned letter it just becomes another external drive that is all it is nothing more. Just like C: or D: but it is an external one you placed in the USB port.
Remember very important that you close it down properly or you can loose any saved data in a nano second if you do not close it properly when you are ready to remove it from the USB port. I do hope that this explained it further for you. Thanks for using FixYa! do not forget to place a vote for me if you will! John
Hi,
Sandisk USB Thumb Drive or memory card
They are plug and play so just plugging it in makes it work
You dont need any additional software
Go To "My Computer"
You should see "Removable Disk or Drive"
Just double click on it to open the drive
Then copy and paste or drag your files onto it
Hope this helps, please rate!
