Some eee pc asus netbook are designed to have an integrated OS reset which means that you can reset it to its factory setting by just pressing on a key.
Here's what you can try before doing the clean reinstallation. Turn on the computer. Once it's turning on, tap F8. If your netbook has the integrated OS reset, then, it will go to a screen where you can see the set up instructions. Just follow the instructions on the screen.
If F8 does not work, you need to do the OS reinstallation. You badly need an external dvd drive for that because netbooks do not have that component. DVD drive is needed for the OS reinstallation disc.
