How I open my widows by protected password - Computers & Internet

You will have to remove the hard drive and back up all the files you wish to save. You can do this with a 7 dollar USB hard drive adapter cable from E-Bay. Save your files on another computer. You then have to be able to boot the computer from the optical drive. Before going through all the following steps just try to boot from the optical drive with the operating system install disk. If it boots from the disk you can skip all the other instructions here and reload your operating system and drivers and restore the backed up files and you are done. If you can't boot from the optical disk then read on.

Make sure the optical drive is the first device listed in the boot order in the system bios setup screen. You can get into the system bios setup screen on most computers by hitting the F2 key or DEL key as soon as you hit the power button. Which key depends on the bios used in the system, Award, AMI, Intel, ect... Try F2 key first as this is the most common. If the bios setup screen is password protected also, remove the bios back up battery on the mother board to erase the password stored in the bios and replace the battery. If the password is still there You will have to locate the EEPROM that contains the password and short pin 3 to pin 6 and power up the pc. This will erase the electrically erasable programmable read only memory chip. You can find the location of this chip by googleing for it. search for the string" bios password chip location (make/model of pc)" use variations of this format until you find a link to a site or forum with the location of the bios pass word chip. Once you are in the bios setup set the boot order to reflect the optical drive as first in the boot order. Hit F10 to save and exit. Now you have to reload the operating system and all the device drivers for your hardware(video,sound,LAN,ect..). Now that you have a fresh operating system installed restore all the files you backed up earlier and you have done it !!!

In some very rare cases in very high end computers you may have to actually replace this bios password EEPROM. In this case you simply buy a new one and swap it out.

This is every step needed to reactivate a computer with a locked password(Bios and Operating system). I spent an hour typing this out carefully making sure it was written so that anyone that reads it will be able to understand it and carry out the full procedure no matter what obstacles may arise and the solutions to work around these obstacles.
