SAVING SETTINGS I have linked my pc to my 32" lcd tv using an s video cable & all seems well until I close the system down. Next time I log on all my desktop settings seem to have gone. Should I hit save in the Nvidia control panel toolbar even after applying changes to set up and hitting ok

When you hit Save or Apply in the Control Panel, the driver remembers the settings. You did that right.

The problem might be when the computer restarts, that the graphics card doesn't correctly check for the SVIDEO output, OR your monitor is missing a resistor (some Sony and Panasonic) on the Chroma output that tells the video BIOS that there is actually something attached (DC-coupled). The latest NVIDIA drivers can detect AC-coupled monitors on the latest GPUs, but since the VBIOS sets the environment, the driver may not check again.

It is possible that uninstalling the video driver and installing a newer one might solve the problem
