I am using GOM Encoder

Question

I am using GOM Encoder to convert a MOV.file to a AVI.file. However, when I open the mov. file in GOM Encoder, it says the codec for the MOV. file is missing. Even if I use the Codec Finder, it's no use. How can I install the codec to it? Or is there any other free software or method that can convert the whole MOV. file to AVI. file?

If the codec for MOV file is missing, then you are not able to do anything about it. You should redownload the codec or try other converter which supports it.

Regain or re-download the MOV file. It may be not intact. Or it can be broken. In this case, you can try some ways to fix the mov file. Or you can try soem other MOV converters to change the mov format.
