To hard reset an Lg Kp500, you need to press 1809#*500# and then choose factory reset.

For the Samsung phone:

Some codes that I tried and worked successfully are:

Software version : *#1234#
Hardware info : *#2222#
Battery info : *#0228#
Master Reset : *2767*3855#
The last code is the master reset.

    Sorry for question, but where to enter 1809#*500# if the first thing the phone is asking is the security code (which is forgotten). Even if I go to SOS button, and try to type this code in place of standard 112, it does not permit # and *. Thank you for any help or advice!
