The only way I know how to do backgrounds on facebook is with extensions for your browser. If you have firefox boost should do the trick and if you have google chrome beautify facebook cr edit was good the last time I used it

click start control panel,display,desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list
or a browse button where you can select your facebook (background) pictures this may vary depending on your operating system
also settings you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size,larger size or custom settings
always click APPLY after making any changes

hi there, Im sorry but there is no option to change the background for facebook unlike friendster. In case you see an application to change the background dont download it. This might be a virus. Hope this would help.

How can i change my background
I'm sorry but the background of facebook can't be customized. However if you use firefox you can apply styles to change the overall look of facebook when viewed from your pc. The only downfall to this is that others viewing your page will see it as facebook has intended. The link below will bring you to a youtube video describing how to do this.

You did not advise as to what operating system you were using?


Try the below for Windows:

Open Face-book as you want to see it on your background.
Put your mouse pointer in the page.
Right click save as background.
