When i insert a game into my ps3, it makes a clunking sound (similar to that of when you eject a disc). the ps3 also fails to acknolwedge there is a disc in (there is no problem however with dvd/blu-ray discs). after ejecting and inserting 8 or 9 times (approx.), the ps3 will finally read the disc and the game will load. very annoying problem... any solutions?

press and hold eject button for around 15 seconds, it resets the cd drive, hope this helps

try a blu ray reset all you do is power the system off by button on front not the switch on back the hold the eject button for 15 to 30 seconds if this does not work then ether you gears are out of line of they are too worn
