I obtained 2 identical models and chassis of this TV, and the only difference is the mfg date, one in 2005 and the other in 2007. Both do not work and seem to have different problems. 1 of them will come on only for a second and will turn off then back on and off over and over until I unplug it. When I plug it back in, it wont do anything untill i hit the power button again leading me to believe that it wasn't a stuck button, but I could be wrong. After researching similar issues that others have had, it sounds like it could be the flyback. I would like to know if would be somewhat reasonable to assume that it is what is wrong with it. To add to the question is the fact that the other TV doesnt do anything and if it would be ok to try to replace the flyback with the other one, although that one could be bad as well. The other one is just plain dead which I am guessing could be something as simple as a blown fuse, thats if I am lucky. If it is something else then hopefully I could salvage the flyback from it to try to fix the other one. I am NOT a technician by no means and do understand the dangers of servicing a television set. I have never worked on a TV before but have looked inside them before. I can solder and can discharge the TV. What my point is, is that I will not take a piece of junk to a tech to waste his time or mine for junk that I don't want to waste money on, unless its minimal. And I will not kill myself trying to fix it, I know the dangers and usually never attempt any task that I never accomplish. I really would just like an opinion. Would it be possible at all to fix one with the other using used parts assuming that the parts replaced was still good from its original TV. If the fuse is blown in the other one, Ill change it and if it doesn't blow a fuse again, then eureka! One is fixed and on that note might purchase a flyback for the other one and call it a 50 dollar pricetag for 2 working TV sets. If not, then maybe pull the flyback out and donate that organ to the other one that makes the clicks of on and off. Im assuming that it could be more than just one thing and it cant be diagnosed without physical testing of certain things, but have time to try swapping of parts if it is possible. Any ideas or opinions would be highly appreciated. The chassis number was the same as the model number. A Sanyo (dont really like the brand to be honest, just me though)
24" DS24205 and assume it was some walmart super-special (buy one get one free deal apparently) Yea... different dates, like their milk. Thanks in advance for anyone with actual advice, thoughts, help or opinion other than letting me know the fact that a technician should service the TV to be on the safe side. Maybe some help on this might help others that seem to have similar problems with different TV brands ect.

Ive had a few sets go for no reason later finding out that a spouse had a PLANT above the tv and watered it and a few hours later no go, also my cat sprayed my tv once and it was shot after that, maybe also try and airdust it real good all over, I fixed one one time by just having an extra fan assembly I took out of an old microwave constanly on and pointed at the heat sinks and it worked for a few more years like that, just a couple of ideas for ya,
