Straight Talk Phone- cannot send or recieve messages. Called customer service they did master reset & restore by telling me code. lost all my phone numbers & my photos, still can make calls Just My Text Messagesing wont work. Any clues? (phone is Samsung flip phone w camera,..., includes opensource software, ...)

hi there,
you sim card does not work the phone or the phone might lock with other provider-- try to turn off the phone - take out the battery and sim card - wait for 30 sec - put the sim card then the battery in - wait for 30 sec - turn on the mobile .. i hope you will able to make calls now.

sms thing... go to message settings - look for message center number if there is then it will be ok when you restart your phone but if you didnt find it call custoer service and ask the message center number. get it write it and you are ready to seend messages.

go to ur message settings and set the phone caller id on and press ok after some time when any message come from ur contact numbers it will show or it is unkonwn number means it will not shown

if your internet is not enable.....then u CAN NOT SEND PICUTURE MESSAGE NOR RECIEVE THEM.....all u have to do is call customer service to to enable your internet (u will NOT be charged with no fees) UNLESS U GO TO THE INTERNET..............THIS WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR U TO RECIEVE AND SEND PICTURE MESSAGE................HOPEFULLY DIS INFORMATION WILL BENEFIT

most probably you have disabled the CLI thing. In which your cell tries to prevent your number being shown to the person you are calling.
It is usually under Network settings, or Call settings (CLI/Show my number/Send my Number).
