We have an Ariston AVTL 110 Top loading washing machine. We had it for 5+ years with heavy usage. Suddenly, it stopped working. We can turn on the programing, it appears the program starts just for a second, and stops. My guess is that the "electrical valves" which are supposed to open, are not opening. We are in france and I have not seen any trouble shooting guides other than, "is it plugged in".

Sounds like the washer control panel has failed.

SOURCE: Ariston Front Loading Washing Machine error code F07

Error code F07 is indicating that the heater relay is stuck for one reason or another.
This could be a board problem, as this where the relay is located.
However, it would be worth checking that the heater is o/k before you do anything else., as this possibly could cause the relay to malfunction.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Ariston A1635 Margherita Control knob spinning

According to the instruction book - it appears the machine has been stopped mid cycle then re-started.
Switch machine off, turn control knob to a solid circle symbol (they are after every set cycle). Switch machine back on and lights will flash and program is reset. You can then select wash cycle as normal.

SOURCE: Hi,my ariston AVTL 104,will not

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters.
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the filter and the motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
