Removed my non programable Honeywell RT 5220D replaced it with a Honeywell RTH6350D to run my Goodman Heat Pump. First I labeled the wires then connected wires as follows: AUX, G, C, O/B (orange wire) Y, R Rc. Red wire went into the R terminal with a metal jumper connecting R &Rc. I'm not sure if I need to program the System type to be for Heat/Cool Multiple Stages. Or Heat pum w/backup and Aux heating? Also, the instructions stated if I did not have a wire to both E and AUX terminals take a small piece of wire to connect both. If I need to do this. What is the proper way to do this ?
